John Denver was a superstar singer who touched millions through his songs of pop-folk and many of them located in Colorado. Henry John Deutschendorf Jr. grew up in Roswell New Mexico. He fell in love Colorado. The singer-songwriter eventually moved to Aspen. Denver's state anthems have inspired numerous people to go to Colorado. G. Brown the curator of Colorado Music Hall of Fame said the following: John Denver was by far one of the most popular musicians who was a symbol of Colorado. Denver was the one of the first Hall of Fame inductee in the year 2011. Many consider Denver to be the Colorado image. You meet people in other countries, like New Zealanders. They say "I am Colorado" and they say "I am from Colorado" And they instantly respond with "Oh John Denver. Brown stated. Take Me Home Country Roads was one of Denver's top 10 singles after performing with smaller folk groups. It was co-written by and recorded by Bill Danoff. Danoff had Johnny Cash as the inspiration for the track, however Denver discovered that it was destined to turn into a hit once he heard an earlier version. Just a few days after the performance to a throng of fans in Washington D.C., the artist recorded the song.
